Courtney R. Chavez is the Deputy Director for the Center for Women in Law (CWIL) at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. She practiced law for seven years at the international law firm of Jones Day, Scheper Kim & Harris LLP, and Andrade Gonzalez LLP in Los Angeles, California. Her practice included white collar criminal defense, cybersecurity, and complex civil litigation.
